The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements and risk management principles within the telecommunications industry. The role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing compliance programs and risk mitigation strategies to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. The Regulatory Compliance Specialist will work closely with various departments to assess and mitigate risks, conduct audits, and provide guidance on compliance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that compliance and risk management practices are integrated into business processes and decision-making.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure that compliance programs are up-to-date and effective.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance-related matters, including ethical conduct, data privacy, and security protocols.
  • Conduct internal audits and reviews to assess compliance with policies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Investigate compliance breaches and develop corrective action plans to address deficiencies.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports as required.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and external auditors.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support special projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, law, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional, Certified Risk Manager) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to the telecommunications industry.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Strong ethical values and a commitment to integrity and professionalism.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability and willingness to travel independently.
