Hamilton Storage Technologies is Hiring an IT Support Specialist Near Franklin, MA

Responsibilities

The IT Support Specialist provides technical assistance and support to end users related to applications, computers, and peripherals. The IT Support Specialist will respond to user emails, triage tickets, isolate problems, and determine issues, and implement solutions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide IT support to Products in the field (servicing rackmounts, remote troubleshooting, emergency site visit's for NVI esc situations, in-house rackmount repair, webinar support, escalate to manager if necessary).
  • Provide Software support to Field Service (provide software troubleshooting and support for instinct and TwinCat, escalate to manager if necessary).
  • Field Service IT support (Handle Level 1 and low level 2 tickets for the service team, including issue's out of the new building where he will be stationed after training).
  • Secondary/Deputy System administration for PowerBi.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills, pleasant demeanor, and the ability to work harmoniously with users at all levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Excellent documentation skills are required.
  • Capable of working with multiple systems in tandem and multitasking.
  • Understanding of computer hardware, software, peripherals, and current computer technology and trends.
  • Knowledge of network domains, VLANs, Active Directory and login procedures, web browser settings, and the difference between an Intranet and the Internet.
  • Ability to analyze problems, develop alternatives, and take appropriate steps toward a solution.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
  • Ability to preform software and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Ability to provide IT Service desk support.
  • Ability to work with users through Remote Desktop.
  • Ability to perform minor programming or scripting.
  • Ability to use Power Bi.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on information technology or related field required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of IT support experience required.
  • Certifications preferred.
