Summary:

The Mortgage Loan Advisor will beresponsible for soliciting residential mortgages from various sources includingrealtors, builders, financial professionals, past customers and other non-traditionalsources.The Mortgage Loan Advisorwill produce high quality loans which meet investor guidelines while providingexcellent customer service, and will meet minimum production goals set forth bythe company and/or Branch Manager.Thisposition may not require specific office hours, although regular attendance atcompany meetings and a full-time schedule should be required.

Responsibilities:

• Develop sales prospects by conducting fieldsales calls to referral sources and prospective customers outside of HHL offices
• Conduct sales calls to referral sources andprospective customers in the field
• Keep informed of trends, changes anddevelopments in the local real estate market
• Coordinate customer interaction and interfacewith all parties involved on each individual loan that is originated from applicationto closing including but not limited to: counseling and pre-qualifyingpotential home buyers, taking complete and accurate applications, obtainingcredit information, and supporting documents, working with customers andprospective customers, loan product vendors and referral sources by telephone,email and mail, meeting with customers, prospective customers and referralsources, checking and updating data bases of loan products and referral sourcesand preparing marketing and promotional materials
• Follow through on all professional conditionsand education requirements for licensure
• Participate in branch/headquarter meetingsthat require attendance

Skills,Abilities and Experience Required:

• NMLS License
• At least 2 years of outside sales experiencein the mortgage industry, including established contacts/relationships with thepurchase market.
• Ability to effectively and efficiently handle multiple, simultaneous, and complex tasks and projects. 
• Information research, analysis, and evaluation skills. 
• Advanced verbal and written communicationskills and the ability to work with a wide range of constituencies in a diversecommunity.
• Proficiency in standardizedsoftware applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
