HFM BOCES Regional Transportation has an opening for a Bus Driver/Dispatcher.

TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES (Illustrative but not exhaustive):

• Operates transportation computer software on a daily basis, including daily changes;
• Dispatches school buses;
• Assists in scheduling bus runs including special runs, athletic trips, co-curricular field trips, etc;
• Assigns substitute bus drivers to operate school buses;
• Maintains trip sheets and posts data weekly on drivers runs;
• Maintains student computer transportation database to incorporate into district student database;
• Sets up and maintains rotation plans on off schedule bus runs;
• Oversees substitute bus runs, keeping records on all their special and regular runs;
• Works with mechanics to schedule bus maintenance and repair and parts ordering;
• Maintains a variety of records and reports;
• Works as a bus driver on a substitute or for emergency purposes.
