The Graphics Specialist performs a variety of graphics production and prepress functions to meet the quality and time-sensitive needs of the department and its clients.

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Performance will be evaluated based on fulfilling the responsibilities of the position described in a timely, accurate, professional, and responsive manner; participating as part of a team; and developing and maintaining positive relationships with company employees.

Production Responsibilities

• Application of direct print and vinyl graphics onto various substrates and products
• Operating a 60” hot laminator, using a variety of laminates and vinyl
• Printing files for a 54” HP Latex printer & 120” EFI flatbed UV printer
• Operating a Zund flatbed cutter for various substrates, such as vinyl, decals, PVC, acrylic, Gatorboard, fabrics and others
• Maintains compliance with internal recordkeeping requirements by accurately preparing timecards and material sheets
• Installation of graphics for semi-permanent and permanent installation is a plus

PrePress Responsibilities

• Provides accurate graphic layout and production design to meet clients’ requirements. This includes scanning, file clean-up, typesetting, and page layouts for client approval
• Collaborate with clients when making changes and revisions to layouts and designs that are out for approval
• Writing and sending POs for jobs that are outsourced and maintaining communication with the supplier during the production process
• Creating RIP print files and cut files for internal printing and production

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
