ResponsibilitiesExceptional Education Developmental Learning Program (DLP) PreK Teacher: Experience to provide supervision and instruction for Pre K students with social, behavioral, communication, physical, self-help, and cognitive disabilities. Knowledge of curriculum and interventions designed for young children with developmental disabilities. Specialized skills in working with students with significant communication disorders. Knowledge of applied behavioral analysis, discrete trials. PECS systems and a variety of organizational systems for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Collaboration and communication skills to develop and implement IEPs, work with regular education staff to implement inclusionary opportunities, conduct age appropriate assessments, facilitate IEP meetings and knowledge of or willing to learn interventions to address specialized needs of students. Knowledge of IDEA, current state special education rules and regulations, and compliance issues relative to programming, assessment and procedural safeguards for students with disabilities. Ability to teach developmental reading using research based materials that cover the NCLB reading components such as SPIRE, or Orton-Gillingham and/or willingness to be trained. Reflect on instruction and leadership while contributing ideas, expertise, and time to the mission and goals of the school. Knowledge of IDEA, current state special education rules and regulations, and compliance issues relative to programming, assessment and procedural safeguards for students with disabilities. Ability to complete training in Crisis Prevention Intervention, CPR & First Aid.

Salary is based on a combination of relevant education and experience.
Salary Scale
