Hamilton County Public Health is accepting applications for a Communicable Disease Specialist in the Department of Community Health Services. Requirements include: Bachelor’s Degree in public health, health education, biology, microbiology, nursing or closely related. Must have valid Driver’s License.
Job duties included but are not limited to:
· Plans, organizes, and implements communicable disease and outbreak investigations.
· Communicable disease reporting following HCPH, ODH and CDC investigative guidelines and protocols.
· Create and maintain resource documents for a variety of communicable diseases.
· Educates clients on preventive health care issues.
· Maintains statistical data for preparing reports for evaluating program services, program planning and quality assurance.
· Provide support for public health emergencies.
· Other duties as assigned.
