Job Overview:
Halo Network seeks a highly skilled and detail-oriented Internal Auditor to join our team. As an Internal Auditor, you will evaluate and improve the effectiveness of our organization's internal controls, risk management, and governance processes. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and identifying areas for process improvement.

Responsibilities:
-

• Examine documentation such as reports, statements, receipts, and cash on hand to audit agency procedures and ensure compliance with financial, operational, and regulatory objectives.
• Audit agency petty cash accounts and ensure proper use of credit card accounts.
• Ensure proper controls and procedures for Self-Direction IDGS and OTPS reimbursement through internal auditing.
• Ensure proper controls and procedures for Shelter and housing budgets through internal auditing.
• Audit the agency’s payroll process to ensure proper control over the payroll system. Review timecards, pay rates, bonuses, and adjustments for accuracy.
• Conducts follow-up on any identified deficiencies discovered during the audit.
• Makes recommendations on how to improve procedures and internal controls.
• Attends relevant training to stay current on industry regulations, audit procedures, and internal processes.
• Assists outside auditors by collecting relevant account information and documents for annual audit.
• Present audit findings in a report with recommendations, concerns, and deficiencies

- QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in accounting. CPA preferred.
• Minimum of five years of accounting, internal audit, and/or not-for-profit experience preferred
• Extensive experience with QuickBooks Online software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
• Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
