Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Halo Hospice, you will play a vital role in providing hands-on care and support to our patients in their homes or healthcare facilities. Working under the supervision of registered nurses and other healthcare professionals, you will help ensure the comfort, dignity, and well-being of our patients during their end-of-life journey. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of seniors and who share our commitment to excellence in hospice care.

Responsibilities:

* Provide direct patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
* Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure their comfort and safety.
* Monitor and report changes in patients' condition, behavior, and vital signs to the interdisciplinary team.
* Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, fostering a compassionate and supportive environment.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care activities in accordance with regulatory standards and company policies.
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs and preferences.
* Assist with light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation as needed to support patient comfort and well-being.
* Participate in team meetings, in-service training sessions, and continuing education programs to enhance skills and stay updated on best practices in hospice care.

Requirements:

* Active certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Texas.
* Previous experience in hospice, palliative care, or a related healthcare setting preferred.
* Knowledge of principles and practices of patient care, including infection control and safety procedures.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
* Compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with a genuine desire to provide comfort and support to seniors and their loved ones.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
* Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patients' homes or healthcare facilities as needed.
* Commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and quality in hospice care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
