We are seeking a skilled and experienced Alarm Technician to join our team. As an Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing alarm systems for residential and commercial clients. Your expertise in electrical work, low voltage systems, and fire alarm systems will be essential in ensuring the safety and security of our customers.
Duties:
- Install, program, inspection and troubleshoot fire alarm systems,
- Conduct site surveys to determine the best locations for alarm system installation
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on various fire alarm systems
- Respond to service calls to diagnose and resolve issues with alarm systems
- Provide technical support and training to customers on the operation of their alarm systems
- Keep accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance performed
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and wiring principles
- Experience in fire alarm system installation, maintenance and inspections
- Familiarity with fire alarm systems and codes
- Proficiency in low voltage systems
- Field service experience in troubleshooting and repair
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Knowledge of fire sprinkler fitting/inspections is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues with alarm systems
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate installation, documentation on inspections and programming
