Hallmark Management is Hiring a Leasing Consultant Near Pascagoula, MS

SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for acting as the initial ambassador between the public, residents of the apartment community and the property management team, providing exceptional service to residents, future residents and internal team members by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Contributes greatly to the first impression of the community and the company Greets prospective residents and shows the model and available vacancies.

Answers all phone inquiries courteously and provides accurate information for the caller’s needs. Qualifies prospective residents and verifies application data.

Maintains the traffic sheet, pest control log, and maintenance request log daily.

Follows-up on all information calls and prospects who have visited the property; including sending thank-you cards.

Completes all lease packets prior to move-in.

Checks all move-ins prior to move-in date to assure completion. Prepares clubhouse, leasing material, and model for viewing.

Shops other apartment communities by phone and in person once per month as assigned by the manager and assists in preparing the monthly marketing analysis.

Makes corporate and marketing calls daily as set by manager. Assists with all leasing activities and resident relations.

Remains familiar with duties of all onsite personnel.

Informs manager or assistant manager immediately if unable to perform any leasing consultant duties.

ATTENDANCE:

Must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines; beginning and ending assignments on time; and scheduled work breaks; where applicable.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business and technical documents. Ability to write reports, and business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Proficient in basic computer programs including Microsoft Word and Excel, Classic and or One Site Software; and E-mail.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Fair Housing and Occupational Safety and Hazard Administration certifications.

OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • 1– 3 years of previous leasing and or customer service experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be self-motivated, goal focused with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of social media outlets and basic leasing/marketing knowledge.
  • Great presentation and sales abilities.
  • Expected to complete necessary Fair Housing and Occupational Safety and Hazard Administration certifications.
  • Superb interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Superior sales abilities.
  • Well organized with ability to prioritize, multi-task and follow through.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Team oriented with ability to work independently.
  • Computer skills, Microsoft word, and knowledge of Internet, Email and Social Media as it pertain to marketing of community.
  • Verbal, math and reasoning skills.
  • Working knowledge of social media tools for property marketing purposes.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and/or operation of a computer for up to 8 hours or more hours a day use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a climate controlled office setting. The employee is frequently exposed to some outdoor activity such as walking the property throughout the year is required.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
