Halliburton is Hiring a Power Distribution/Electrical Technician - (Associate - II) Near Williston, ND

Job description:

Job Duties:

  • Under direct mentorship, a PDT Associate will gain knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance, diagnostics and repairing a variety of electronic and/or electrical equipment relative to their assigned location.
  • Assist mentor with LOTO of equipment and function testing to verify equipment readiness.
  • Must have a basic understanding of electronic and/or electrical schematics/drawings/prints.
  • Performs work within a variety of Halliburton specific software and hardware.
  • Assist with rig up/down of electric frac equipment including making electrical connections which includes deploying of medium voltage electric cables).
  • Assist mentor with identifying unsafe conditions and suspending site operations until conditions are safe.

Qualifications:

  • The role is a developmental role that will work around three phase power distribution components up to 15,000 volts (medium voltage electricity), PLC hardware, and cabling.
  • This role is developmental role through OJT and trainings. It is expected that someone in this role is able to break out as an independent PDT within 1 year of start.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent and a technical certificate in applicable discipline is required.
