Overview

Associates are responsible for positively contributing to our customer’s shopping experience through knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient service. In other words, associates deliver impeccable customer service by acting with a “customer comes first” attitude. Associates need to understand our brand and culture in order to best drive business performance. Greeting customers, attending to customer needs, and building a loyal customer base are just a few of the key responsibilities. To perform these responsibilities, associates must be able to positively interact and build relationships with customers, co-workers, and management.

Responsibilities

Selling

· Use product knowledge to educate customers and assist them in making product selections.

· Meet daily and individual goals assigned by manager.

· Initiate self-training using provided materials and participate in training or clinics assigned by the manager.

· Maintain the visual appeal of the store.

· Observe and monitor for loss prevention and advise management of unusual activity.

· Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

· Partner in store’s execution of all merchandise processing and flow to floor.

· Keep back room organized and efficient.

· Contribute to a positive team environment.

Cashiering

· Perform sales transactions through skillful use of computer and POS register system.

· Complete transactions in a professional, patient, and timely manner.

· Effectively communicates information regarding sales, markdowns, customer programs and promotions to customers.

· Responsible for stocking cash wrap with bags, boxes, and other necessary materials.

· Follow all operational policies and procedures, including those for handling cash and security.

Stocking

· Perform all aspects of processing merchandise and/or other items needed for store operations.

· Unload stock, clean and maintain all areas of the store, and display product.

· Assist in the completion of product merchandising initiatives including corporate planograms and displays for tables and windows.

Qualifications

· Complete successful 90-day trial period.

· Strong human relations skills and ability to work and support a team environment.

· Flexibility to work varied hours/days as business dictates, especially during holiday seasons.

· Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

· Manage time effectively with limited supervision and with attention to detail.

· Follow management direction and store policies to complete all duties as required.

· Stand and/or walk for multiple hours as well as lift, pull, or push up to 25 lbs. of weight.
