Location: East Atlanta

Halal Madina Market, a thriving halal butcher shop located in East Atlanta, is seeking a Store Clerk to join our team. As a Store Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers have a positive shopping experience while upholding our commitment to providing high-quality halal products.
Responsibilities:
* Customer Service: Greet customers with a warm and friendly attitude, answer inquiries, and assist with their shopping needs. * Cash Handling: Operate cash registers, handle cash, and provide accurate change to customers. Ensure cash transactions are conducted efficiently and securely. * Stocking and Merchandising: Maintain the store's appearance by restocking shelves, organizing products, and ensuring products are neatly displayed. * Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of the products offered in the store, including various cuts of halal meats, spices, and other grocery items. * Cleaning and Sanitization: Keep the store clean and sanitized, including the checkout area, display cases, and aisles. * Assist in Inventory Management: Help with inventory counts and restocking to ensure product availability. * Compliance: Adhere to all food safety regulations and store policies to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. * Assist Customers with Special Orders: Take customer orders for specific cuts or quantities of meat, and provide exceptional service in fulfilling these requests.
Qualifications:
- *High school diploma or equivalent preferred. *Prior retail or customer service experience is a plus. *Knowledge of halal food products is desirable. *Strong interpersonal and communication skills. *Ability to work effectively in a team. *Attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. *Must be reliable and punctual.
Schedule:
This is a part-time position with flexible hours. Weekend and evening availability may be required.
Hourly Rate:
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $10-15 per hour, commensurate with experience and skills.
