SummaryJob DescriptionThe Equipment Maintenance Technician II is accountable for contributing to HarbisonWalker Internationals overall business performance by analyzing equipment status and operation to detect parts failure and problem solve reasons for failure. This role is involved in equipment rebuilds and performs routine adjustments and maintenance to the equipment used at customer sites insuring equipment is functioning properly. The Equipment Maintenance Technician II will also keep track of the spare parts inventory and storage to make sure it is maintained at an acceptable level. In addition, the person in this role must be able to read manuals and drawings and have a basic electrical knowledge and hydraulic knowledge to troubleshoot problems. Job Duties
Performing routine equipment checks and maintenance at customer site including annual inspections
Ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by reviewing equipment performance with operators and local service/sales team; performing training on safe operation and day-to-day maintenance
Perform general equipment repair and keep and manage organized parts and tool inventory
Performing equipment failure analytics and troubleshooting; maintaining and updating SOP’s and Visual Standard Works for repair processes
Assist customers and HWI employees with refractory product support solutions including inventory, data collection and installation support as needed
Qualifications
Requires high school diploma or GED
Ability to operate a jib crane and ensure the rigging of the load is correct
Ability to safely operate a forklift
Ability to safely operate various hand and electrical tools
Ability to read, understand and work in conformity with work orders, as directed
Ability to detect and correct unsafe or hazardous conditions of equipment and work environment
Organized individual with emphasis on quality and the ability to meet deadlines
Requires fundamental computer skills, experience in excel a plus
Requires ability to read drawing, schematics and blueprints
Requires interpersonal skills in dealing with coworkers, contractors and vendors
Requires knowledge of diesel engine maintenance, hydraulic and electric motors, pumps and relays
Requires ability to operate hydraulic driven, air driven and electric driven mixers, pumps and guns
Requires basic electrical skills
A strong track record of maintaining technical competency and remaining current in technology and changes in the industry
Requires two (2) – four (4) years of experience servicing machinery (automotive, agriculture, industrial equipment), including experience with diesel engines, hydraulics and electronics required.
