Job Summary:
The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for ordering, managing, and distributing inventory supplies and materials for the stores nationwide. The coordinator works closely with ocean carriers, air cargo carriers, Ocean Transport Intermediaries (Otis), domestic carriers, freight forwarders, and trucking companies to ensure timely arrival and delivery of containers from China,Taiwan, Vietnam,Thailand, and the US to the warehouses. This individual works closely with the store managers to ensure sufficient inventory for each location. This individual is required to travel to all store locations nationwide to inspect inventory.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Responsible for all aspects of inventory management, including but not limited to inventory planning, creating purchase orders, performing stock transfers, and receiving products into inventory.
· Responsible for maintaining the procurement portal.
· Responsible for updating the inventory information in the SAP system.
· Responsible for reordering and/or sourcing products when necessary.
· Coordinate the export as well as the domestic movement of cargo from and to various locations which involve management and distribution of related documents and information.
· Ability to manage the day-to-day interactions with outside parties and stores to ensure timely deliveries and problem-solving.
· Responsible for any delivery problems and/or delays to ensure our shipments will be delivered successfully, including identifying and troubleshooting for all transportation-related jobs.
· Handle all paperwork including generating Bills of Lading, Air Bills, domestic shipments, with multiple carriers.
· Complete monthly inventory check and SAP system allocation of store orders.
· Perform frequent lifting of packages (up to 50 lbs).
· Strong phone and computer skills, including internet navigation, Shipping software, and various office applications.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· At least 2 years of experience in the logistics industry (supply chain, warehouse, shipping & receiving).
· Experience with vendor negotiations a plus (such as carriers and/or shipping lines).
· Able to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines.
· Ability to be flexible and work with shifting demands, in both an independent and a team environment.
· Excellent Interpersonal, Verbal, and Written Communication Skills.
· Computer Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Education / Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree.
· Minimum one year of industry experience preferred.
· Fluent in both Chinese Mandarin and English.
