The Payroll Specialist will fulfill the essential payroll function for the organization; responsible for understanding employee information, calculating payment details, preparing and processing employee payments, and maintaining accurate payroll records. To be successful as the Payroll Specialist, you should be able to diagnose and resolve payroll issues and ensure strict compliance with regulatory standards. A great candidate will be reliable, efficient, and work well with individuals across the organization.

General Job Responsibilities:

• Process weekly & biweekly payrolls for three separate companies, with multiple tax jurisdictions.
• Payroll data entry – manual data entry as well as importing with excels files into the payroll system for several different locations.
• Update employee records for voluntary deductions, direct deposit, tax information, and other data as needed.
• Respond to payroll related inquiries and conduct research as needed to resolve issues
• Complete employment verification forms in a timely fashion
• Process garnishments, tax levies, child support, etc.
• Prepare and distribute to management Labor Distribution Reports as well as other ad hoc reports as needed.
• As a member of a small Human Resources Team this role will also be asked to cover when others are absent.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

AAS degree in HR preferred or relevant work experience

Experience with ADP Workforce Now v2 software highly desirable

Proficiency with MS Office products

Handle highly Confidential information

Strong attention to detail

Interest in working in a team-oriented work environment
