Drywall Taper

Brief Position Description:

The Drywall Taper is an integral part of the success of Haggerty Construction, Inc. (HCI). The main focus of the Drywall Taper will be site construction activities such as responding to service calls, fulfilling Work Orders and working on various special projects. We are looking for someone with a strong background in drywall taping.

Responsibilities

Erecting and breaking up scaffolding, ramps etc. with attention to safety

Unloading and carrying materials at construction sites

Stocking, installing & constructing various types of commercial construction

Working with the Field Supervisor, Superintendent(s) & Project Manager(s) to fulfill Work Order requests

Adhering to HCI’s safety policies and procedures

Ensuring all construction work performed is of the highest quality

Maintaining a clean and organized shop and jobsite area

Maintaining organization and security of all HCI owned tools and materials

Submitting timely and accurate time tracking reports each week to the Field Supervisor

Requirements

Experience in the commercial construction industry in one or more areas such as demolition, landscaping, irrigation, concrete cutting, concrete finishing, non-structural metal stud framing, insulation, sealants & caulking, doors & hardware, glass & glazing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, tiling, various flooring, painting, accessories, HVAC, plumbing &/or electrical

Proficient in use of hand / power tools

Ability to read / interpret instructions & construction documents

Ability to learn and take direction

Understanding of plumbing and electrical systems

Good knowledge of English language (Spoken and written)

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid CA Driver License

Reliable personal transportation and a motor vehicle driving record that is consistent with HCI’s and insurance carrier’s standards and policies
