RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Setup and operate long bed manual lathe for simple turning operations

· Rework part in manual lathe

· Run chop saw and older Cincinnati CNC Lathe in production cell

· Work with parts requiring special care to protect OD mico-finishes

· Follow required safety procedures

JOB DESCRIPTION:

· First shift position with hour of 6:30 AM-3:00 PM

Physical Requirements

· Occasionally crouch or kneel

· Stand for 3 hours

· Lift 50 lbs to waist level multiple time an hour

Job Requirements

· Safely load parts in machines using overhead cranes

· Computer proficiency in use barcode system to scan in/out of jobs and issue gages

· Read and interpret manufacturing prints, process sheets and other technical data

· Able to identify cutting tool and load them into turret

· Convert between inches and millimeter as required

· Add, subtract, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals

· Check parts using appropriate gages

o Bore

o OD Mic

o Groove

o Thread

o Calipers

o Go/No Go Gages

· Record measured data for quality documentation

· Familiarity with older Cincinnati controls

· Experience running manual Lathes (Binns & Berry and Voest)

· Edit programs as required

· Dailey machine maintenance

· Pass forklift safety and operation certification

· Experience working safely in an industrial manufacturing environment

· Ability to work as part of a team to solve quickly solve setbacks
