Overview:

The Chemical/Sustainability Specialist will support Haddad Brands’ mission to meet and exceed the licensors’ chemical management and sustainability expectations.

Key Accountabilities:

Remain current on licensor, global and local government legal testing obligations

• Maintain internal chemical reporting databases
• Track chemical testing performance
• Track failure resolution
• Track any chemical certifications for relevant claims
• Review chemical program against current and upcoming obligations
• Track sustainability certifications
• Maintain internal and external sustainability reporting databases
• Assist in updating trainings for Design, Production, and Sourcing and schedule the cadences
• Analyze reports and documentation to provide to customers upon request
• Review and provide guidance to Local-for-Local teams to ensure legal and brand requirements are met
• Develop working partnerships with peers in Sourcing, Design, Overseas Merchandising, Quality Assurance teams, licensors and Third Party Service Providers to support program execution
• Special projects as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities/Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in apparel-relatable Sciences
• Experience with chemical testing and/or reviewing test reports, sustainability reporting in manufacturing children’s wear (experience in garment manufacturing environment is a plus)
• Familiarity with international chemical regulations affecting children’s apparel products & accessories
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with high attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and database management
