The Cardiac Technician assists a trained, credentialed cardiology attending during all procedures. He/she is responsible for accurately performing the following procedures: all forms of stress testing, Holter
application and removal, Holter scanning and ECG.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
- Graduate of a cardiac technical program or equivalent.
- Satisfactory completion of cardiac arrythmia course within 90 days of hire.
- Satisfactory completion of cardiac arrhythmia course. Basic understanding of cardiac disease and advanced understanding of arrhythmias.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
- 1 year of prior experience in non-invasive cardiac procedures.
- Maintains American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification.
- Regular contact with Medical Center personnel, patients and visitors.
