Seeking an entrepreneurial Controller for a financial leadership role at Hack Club, a fast growing, fun, high-integrity, technical nonprofit.

You’ll be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of all accounting functions for the Foundation’s two programs, Hack Club and HCB (fiscal sponsorship program), from cash flow to budgeting, reporting, payroll, and compliance, with a staff of two bookkeepers.

• Hack Club: Inspiring a generation of teenagers to become highly technical builders, innovators, and problem-solvers by supporting high schoolers in starting coding clubs and running hackathons. Funded by $8M in philanthropic contributions in 2023.
• HCB: A best-in-class technology-enabled fiscal sponsorship program with $3.7M in revenues received by fiscally sponsored groups in 2023.

As Controller, you’ll play a vital role in the success of Hack Club’s nonprofit mission. We’re a fast-moving organization. You’ll have the opportunity to take on increasing leadership and responsibility.

CPA required. We’re in Shelburne, VT. This position reports to the Executive Director.

PAY, HOURS, BENEFITS & LOCATION

• $90,000 - $110,000 per year to start, to grow with increased responsibilities
• Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9-5
• Shelburne, Vermont. 80% in-office / 20% WFH
• 4 weeks paid time off (PTO)

REQUIRED

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Interest in growth and being a hands-on leader
• Nonprofit experience desirable, not required
• Fiscal sponsorship knowledge is a plus
