We are currently seeking a service oriented ReStore Sales Associate. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales, excellent communication skills, and a customer-centric attitude. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for assisting customers, driving sales and maintaining a positive shopping experience for all customers. Other responsibilities include accepting donations, providing donation receipts, product cleaning and pricing. This is a part-time position working up to 28 hours/week.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers as they enter the store
  • Recommend products and services based on customers' needs and preferences
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Build and maintain customer relationships through exceptional service
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and industry trends
  • Screen and accept donated product for resale to ensure it is sellable and consistent with ReStore product acceptance standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor and donation area
  • Serve as point of contact for volunteers, providing guidance, support, and assistance as needed

Position Requirements:

  • Basic office equipment skills including phone, cash register, copier
  • Ability to lead and direct volunteers
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle transactions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to move 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Previous retail or sales experience with building supplies preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including rotating Saturdays
