Responsible for removing ink residue and solvents from screens, reclaiming screens and screen frames for future use by performing the following duties personally.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receives screens from press, removes ink residue, and stores screens for rerun, if appropriate.
• Removes tape from screens to be reclaimed.
• Processes designated screens with reclaiming solution to remove stencil emulsion or film. Monitors chemicals for correct concentration and mixture.
• Applies haze remover to remove ghosting, if needed.
• Degreases new or reclaimed screens.
• Removes damaged screen mesh from frame, cleans and deburrs frame, and delivers frame to screen making department.
• Operates and maintains pressure washers and other reclaim equipment.
• Utilizes rubber gloves, apron, face mask, protective glasses, and other safety equipment as required for personal safety.
• Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standard situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move as much as 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
