Physical Therapy Assistant Qualifications:
Successful completion of an accredited physical therapy assistant program
Valid licensure (or eligibility for licensure) to practice as a physical therapy assistant in the state of Florida
Prior experience in skilled nursing settings is preferred Membership in state and national Physical Therapy Associations is advantageous Proficiency in physical therapy principles, methods, materials, and equipment
Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and collaborate with medical staff Commitment to maintaining patient and employee confidentiality
Familiarity with Medicare and third-party reimbursement processes is desirable
