THE OPPORTUNITY

KFA has an exciting opportunity for Civil Engineering grads! We are looking for a few dynamic Entry Level Civil Engineers who are ready to learn and perform design activities on public transportation, drainage, water, and wastewater projects in Texas. Working under the direct supervision of senior staff, the selected candidate will perform civil engineering design calculations, detailing and plan set production working from either our Austin or San Antonio office. You will work with great clients, be paid a competitive salary, and be welcomed into our team from day one. 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Entry level to 2 years of experience in civil engineering design and plan production
• Working knowledge of either AutoCAD or MicroStation CAD platforms. GEOPAK and HEC-RAS experience a plus
• Possess EIT certification or the ability to take the Fundamentals of Engineering exam within six months of hire
• Ability to work independently at times and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Professional traits to include ability to use resources efficiently and effectively, take initiative and be highly motivated, work with a diverse group of engineers and technicians, adhere to a schedule, and demonstrate a good work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous Civil Engineering Internship
