Division info:

The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.

Summary of position:

• Techniques to be followed for all work performed.
• Mask as required prior to grit blast.
• Utilizes and maintain all personal protective equipment (PPE) in performance of assigned duties and tasks.
• Cleans parts as required.
• Ensures all documentation is completed as required.
• Prepares surfaces using blast equipment utilizing knowledge of the materials, tools, and fixtures used in the process.
• Loads blaster tank as needed with abrasive materials by manually lifting bags of grit and pouring contents into machines.

Main responsibilities:

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing sketches
Be able to read inspection tools and have knowledge of Quality Control, gages, and micrometers
Have ability to set tool lengths for each machine in department
Understand procedures and production schedules
Good physical condition; able to lift heavy loads
Knowledge or arithmetic involving decimals, fractions and its application to the reading of drawings and measuring instruments or the calculations, and recording dimensions

Qualifications:

Education:
High School diploma or GED equivalent and trade school, vocational education or apprenticeship
2-4 years experience in work related environment
