Job DescriptionAbout the Role: As an Investigator/Loss Prevention Analyst, you will take sophisticated cases head-on through establishing proven partnerships with store and Loss Prevention leadership, local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, the Investigator is responsible for assisting with a strategy to combat organized retail crime, external and internal theft across the H&M Group within the assigned market. This hybrid/field role reports into the Loss Prevention Analytical Manager, US, CA, PR and can be based out of one of following cities: Houston (TX), FL or Georgia or Philadelphia (PA). A Day in the Life: Takes a proactive approach to resolving internal and external losses within all assigned stores through training and awareness. Ability to define problems collect data and establish facts through proper investigations. Utilize Loss prevention reporting tools to identify internal and external losses. Supports with setting goals on relevant KPIs based on analysis, resolving problems, and monitoring performance in line with North America Security focuses. Responsible for building cases by collecting evidence using all available tools. Conduct successful nonconfrontational interviews with external or internal patrons through conflict management. Develop positive work relationship with state and local law enforcement agencies. Assist the leadership team in enforcing policies and procedures. Partnership with local Law Enforcement and Mall Security Stay current on ORC trends in partnership with other retailers and vendors. Additional Accountabilities: Perform all other duties and responsibilities as required and or assigned to support the security safety and compliance for the 600 stores in US and Canada. Identifying and share deficiencies with Global Business Partners. Investigates and follows up on deviating activities based on analysis, with a focus on training needs, routines, and frauds. Identify and surveil fence locations. Ability to complete multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Identifying opportunities and supplying feedback regarding tests and new initiatives. Communicate ongoing investigations to their respective Market and Area teams. Knowledge and understanding of LP technology equipment (CCTV, Burglar Alarm, Access Control, and EAS) functionalities, terminology, and capabilities. Host periodic meetings with other retailers to discuss trends and solutions of shrink.QualificationsWho You Are: College degree in criminal justice preferred or equivalent years of experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience with Organized retail crime preferred. Strong organization and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong professional maturity and the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information. Proficient in Microsoft applications Valid Driver’s license Ability to travel at least 40% of the time with occasional international travel.
