Description

Summary: Provide direct assistance and support to theSupervisor - Weekend and assist the production team in assignment of duties, training of team members, monitoring of job quality and safe operation of machines and presses.

Essential Functions

• Oversee the execution of the daily production schedule while meeting production goals for quality, operator efficiency, machine uptime.
• Coordinate shift performance across multiple departments including production, maintenance, processing, quality and materials.
• Prioritize daily work assignments based on production schedule and machine availability.
• Monitor equipment cycle time as necessary to stay within standard operating parameters.
• Ensure all employees adhere to safety guidelines and company policies.
• Perform in-process inspection checks to verify process repeatability.
• Improve shift performance through employee training, planning and the reallocation of available resources.
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Two or more years of experience in manufacturing.
• Well-organized and self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
• High comfort level with MS Office Suite.
• Problem solving and analytical skills.
• Must be able to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both management and shop floor personnel to understand assignments and to provide process-related feedback.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift as much as 50 lbs. several times a day.
• Must be able to stand for the vast majority of the shift.
• Must be able to perform manual work in a non-climate-controlled factory setting.
