Here are the details of this position:
Safety:
1. Walk-through of both manufacturing facilities. (2-3 times per week)
2. Implement and maintain the Emergency Action Plan, Hazardous Waste Contingency Plan, and Stormwater Plan for both facilities .
3. Organize Quarterly Fire Drills at each facility (Drills will come after EAP implemented/trained on)
4. Monthly walkthrough and inspection audit on both plants, along with documentation and follow-up
5. Facility safety audits with supervision and maintenance teams – mechanical integrity/grounding
6. Maintenance of all records that could potentially be audited.
Training:
1. Design, organize, and implement all training required by governing bodies - For Example – OSHA, DOT, DEQ and EPA.
2. New Employee Orientation – Right-To-Know, Stop-Work Authority, Intro to GHS, Safety Programs
ESL-SDS-Labels
1. Ownership of Wercs SDS and ESL Programs
2. Create, edit, maintain database for all raw materials, intermediates, and finished good formulas in Wercs.
3. Produce/publish/maintain SDS for internal use, and also customer requirements including European and Asia regulations. (Currently ~2600 finished good SKU’s)
4. Create/update/maintain dynamic label information using Wercs label-making software, pulling GHS information from Wercs for U.S., South American, European & Asian countries.
5. Create ESL’s for customers as required using Wercs ESL software module.
6. Assist Sales/Cust. Serv. with regulatory requirement requests such as REACH, RoHS, Prop 65 etc.
7. Assist any customers that contact HIS through website – SDS, technical information requests, etc.
Environmental
Track, log, and submit all required information and reporting required by OSHA, DEQ, City, Insurance, State, Etc.
1. Form “R” EPA Submission (TRI)– Due July 1st
2. SARA Title III EPA & DEQ Submission – Due March 1st
3. Waste water and treatment report – Semi-Annual Letter
4. OKC Stormwater monthly reports
5. OKC Stormwater Annual Training – Conducted every Feb @ Char 1st
6. OKC SWP Semi-Annual Audits by OKC personnel
7. DEQ Permitting – Annual
8. Maintain, update, master raw material list, three physical copies and RM folder on company server and on Vanguard website.
ISO9001
1. Assist with any ISO-assigned duties
2. Schedule and oversee monthly internal ISO Audits.
Other
1. Maintain ISN website with requested monthly, quarterly, and annual information
Keep personal training up to date for new governing regulations regarding SDS, labeling, local and U.S. EPA requirements and for foreign countries.
