As a Trailer Technician I, you'll assist with basic to mid-range diagnostics and troubleshooting, and with basic repair and replacement and preventative maintenance.Once you're eligible, you'll become an Owner in the company, so we're looking for commitment, hard work, and focus on quality and Customer service. 'Partner-owned' means our most important resources--People--drive the innovation, growth, and success that make H-E-B The Greatest Omnichannel Retailing Company.Do you have a: HEART FOR PEOPLE... ability to work in a team environment?HEAD FOR BUSINESS... certifications required for the job?PASSION FOR RESULTS... drive to apply your technical knowledge to safe operations?We are looking for:- high school diploma and related training or experienceWhat is the work?Troubleshooting / Maintenance / Repair & Replacement:- Assists in basic to mid-range diagnostics and troubleshooting- Performs basic repairs, preventative maintenance, and replacements in assigned specific classification- Operates with basic tooling- May work with others in an apprentice-style environment- Assists in minor trailer repairs; repairs / replaces lights and interior plywood; adjusts brakes, repairs air leaks, repairs scuff liner- Performs basic welding- Repairs / replaces wheels and tires- Performs all safety-sensitive trailer repairs with some degree of Trainer assistance depending on Tech's experience- Performs Associate Trailer Tech dutiesWhat is your background?- High school diploma or equivalent- 1 years of experience - Current CDL- Current DOT certification- OEM / ASE certification in brakes- Third-party tire certification- Basic welding certification- Completion of third-party trainingDo you have what it takes to be a fit as an H-E-B Trailer Technician?- Working knowledge of general preventative maintenance and safety procedures- Skills to use fabricating tools- Welding skills (trailer repair)- Electrical skills (shorts / repair diagnosis)- Ability to read schematic diagrams Can you...- Work in a team environment- Lift 100 lbs and carry a distance of 5 ft- Work sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and in a prone position- Work with hands over head- Climb; work from a ladder- Possess / maintain required tools- Obtain DOT certification within 1 year of hire09-2013
