- Working knowledge of electrical circuits, outlets, lighting and lighting ballasts
- Basic knowledge of HVAC with ability to change filters belts, and bearings
- Basic plumbing knowledge
- Ability to patch/paint accurately
- Participate in ice installation and daily ice maintenance at the request of Ice Technician or delegation from Supervisor
- Responsible for completion of work orders assigned through management
- Working events and/or changeovers
- Perform scheduled maintenance of equipment
- Assures facility readiness and smooth operation of events
- Complete daily safety and event day checklists to ensure facility readiness and smooth operations of events
- Assures a safe environment for all patrons and employees by following the life safety and emergency program
- Ensure facility equipment, staging and furniture necessary for events are in good, working condition
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes and works cooperatively to provide quality customer service
- Implements and practice facility regulations, policies and procedures
- Anticipate problems and appropriate solutions and provide clear, concise, and timely communication
- Be able to add oil to compressors, drain chiller pot, change Zamboni blade, accurately manage and log ice plant readings
- Knowledge of ice maintenance skills and installation
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- Trade certification preferred
- Willingness and desire to learn multiple areas of the sports and entertainment business
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays
