Guzzler Manufacturing is Hiring an Inventory Control Specialist Near Leeds, AL

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains consistent stock of inventory, ordering new stock up to pre-authorized limit as inventory dwindles.
  • Ensuring a company’s inventory remains sufficient, place orders when products get low and send back items the company does not need
  • Establishes and maintains backup source for high-demand items.

. Create new and eliminate obsolete locations in JDE .

. Create and monitor KPI tracking for inventory processing (location accuracy, inventory turns etc.) and perform RCA on inaccuracies.

. Quality part inspections to support first time quality.

. Assist with them implementation of regular cycle count program.

. Focus on location, rack, and part labeling

  • Receive and sign for shipment of products
  • Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery.
  • Provides inventory reports to purchasing and inventory control manager.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors.
  • Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.
  • Manages and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the purchasing or inventory control manager.
  • Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
  • Assists with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits.
  • Assess and monitor warehouse transactions
  • Keep detailed records of any changes in inventory or production and report these changes to the proper department.
  • Enter inventory information into a computer database or spreadsheet
  • Inspect products and take note of any damaged or potentially unusable products.
  • Send defective products back to the supplier or dispose of them according to company standards.
  • Act as liaison between the warehouse and customer service.
  • Effectively work cross departmentally to find out what items are needed
  • Operates forklift truck when necessary.
