Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our team. The Project Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of construction projects and providing cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction estimating, project management, and contract negotiation. Responsibilities: - Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates - Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive estimates - Utilize software tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create detailed cost breakdowns - Research and gather data on materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs - Identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings during the estimation process - Prepare detailed proposals and bid packages for submission to clients - Participate in negotiations with clients to finalize contract terms and pricing - Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase and implement cost control measures as needed - Collaborate with the project team to ensure accurate tracking of costs and adherence to budgetary constraints Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred - Proven experience in construction estimating or related field - Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards - Proficiency in using estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam - Excellent mathematical and analytical skills - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment - Strong negotiation skills for contract pricing We offer competitive compensation packages based on experience.
