The Automotive Service Advisor will initiate automotive services and repairs by ascertaining performance problems and service requests; verify warranty and service contract coverage; develop estimates; write repair orders; maintain customer rapport and records. Job duties will include, but are not limited the following:

• Advise customers about necessary service for routine maintenance.
• Help identify a mechanical problem by questioning the customer or doing a visual inspection or road test.
• Conduct automobile inspections, check vehicle maintenance records, and examine service schedules.
• Confer with customers about inspection results, recommend corrective procedures; prepare work order for needed repairs showing time, cost, and labor estimates for service.
• Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtain customer approval of estimates.
• Explain work performed and charges to the customer.
• Handle customer complaints.
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage.
• Maintain automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications.

Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to troubleshoot, understand potential cause of problem
• Good communication and active listening skills
• Working knowledge of mechanical tools and machines
• Computer literate
• Excellent customer service and quality focus

Pay: Up to $82,332.00 per year
