Summary

The Maintenance & Production Support Manager leads the service function of CNC Machinery and manufacturing tools and equipment by troubleshooting, routine maintenance, preventive maintenance, modifications, and repair. The Maintenance and Production Support Manager coordinates service with shop personnel to assure that all requests can be met and are in accordance with applicable Association of American Railroads (AAR) specifications.

Duties And Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.

  • Establishes quality standards and expectations for preventative and reactive maintenance service
  • Audits the preventative maintenance program for completion and effectiveness of the program
  • Directs the installation or relocation of capital equipment
  • Keeps accurate records of equipment, maintenance history and technical information on processes, plans and equipment
  • Leads the upgrade and rebuilds of manufacturing equipment by utilizing technology to provide process improvement and manufacturing cost reductions
  • Supports and assists with capital and engineering projects

Qualifications

The following generally describes requirements to successfully perform the assigned duties.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years’ experience in electrical/mechanical maintenance field
  • 5 years’ experience in leading a team
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics
  • Proficient in welding and fabrication
  • Familiarity of local State Electrical Codes and power distribution systems
  • Ability to repair hydraulic and pneumatic machinery, equipment, and tools
  • Proficient with standard desktop Microsoft applications including but not limited to, Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel and proficient in HRIS
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing, at all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
  • Familiarity with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinery

This position may be exposed to welding, machining, forming, metal surface treatment, laser cutting, plasma cutting, and other metal working and assembly processes. Additional PPE may be required as determined by the environment.
