Gundersen Health System is Hiring an Emergency Services Supervisor Near La Crosse, WI

What You'll Do:

Our Level II ACS-verified Trauma Center provides care to over 65,000 patients annually with a wide variety of physical and emotional needs. The department consists of 45 total patient exam rooms including ten Urgent Care rooms, five resuscitation/trauma/critical care rooms, and three dedicated Behavioral Health rooms. As a working clinical supervisor, you will be expected to provide patient care and be responsible for overseeing roughly 40 direct reports composed of nurses, EMTs, and paramedics. You will also be responsible for gap analysis and project-based work that positively impacts the department, patient care, satisfaction scores, and employee morale. Additional key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and supervise all aspects of emergency services department operations
  • Provide leadership and guidance to emergency services staff, including training and development opportunities
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective emergency response
  • Coordinate with other departments and agencies to ensure seamless communication and collaboration during emergencies
  • Monitor and evaluate emergency response protocols to identify areas for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in emergency services operations
  • Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to enhance emergency preparedness and response efforts

What's Available:

  • Fulltime, 72 hours biweekly
  • Mon-Fri day/evening flex, variable hours
  • Occasional weekend or holiday per department need
  • Salary commensurate with experience

What You'll Need:

  • A minimum of an Associate's degree in Nursing
  • Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers
  • Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Previous RN experience in Emergency Services/Department

An Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Familiarity with emergency response protocols and procedures for both adult and pediatric populations
  • Proven ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences
  • Prior experience with Epic electronic health record software
