In This Role
- Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Gun Lake Casino's Service Standards at all times.
- Daily audit of gaming and non-gaming operations for accuracy and compliance. Audit area of assigned responsibility may include Table Games, Slots, Food and Beverage, Cage, Kiosks, leased vendors and complimentaries.
- Audit includes reviewing system and paper documentation.
- Preparing appropriate spreadsheets and verify balances to computerized system reports. Identifying, investigating, and resolving all reporting variances for general ledger.
- Audit also includes reviewing all activity for operational adherence to our minimum internal controls and policy and procedures. Preparation of appropriate exception reports for non-compliant items.
- Consolidates revenue information for preparation of the daily reports for Management and prepares daily journal entries and statistical reports.
- Prepares and completes audits in an organized professional manner including electronic and paper file storage to ensure ease of access of information by Management, internal and external auditors.
- Performance of other accounting, compliance and administrative tasks maybe required from time to time - quite often on short notice.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior audit and accounting experience and/or advance schooling in applicable field is preferred.
- Knowledge on Excel is required with general knowledge of Microsoft Office, experience with operational software is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
- Must be able to perform basic data entry, experience with 10-key preferred.
- Must have a talent for organization and enjoy detail work.
- Must be able to support Accounting in a team environment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain gaming license from Gun Lake Tribal Gaming Authority.
- Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Must have the manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, run, and climb stairs for the duration of shift.
- Must have the ability to access all properties and areas.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. with or without assistance.
- Ability to read, write and input data into the computer.
- Ability to stoop, crouch and kneel.
