Distribution Courier
The Naples Press Newspaper – is seeking a Part-Time Distribution Courier for Single Copy delivery to Retailers each Friday. Carrier is also responsible for collecting payments each Monday at the same retail locations. Early a.m. hours included in delivery. Total hours of 15 -20 hours per week. Company vehicle provided for distribution of delivery and collection.
Job Duties

• Delivering of The Naples Press to retail businesses in the assigned delivery area as routed through the company’s routing system. This is to produce the most efficient delivery for our retail partner based on the individual retailer’s guidelines.
• Placement of allotted number of papers in the assigned area by the retailer
• Retrieval of any unsold papers from the previous Friday’s delivery with each Friday delivery. Tracking in/out sheets to be provided.
• Collecting payments from individual retailer as required by the retailer. Monday as currently assigned but subject to change to meet retailer’s business needs. Appropriate timely turn in of all monies collected as assigned by The Naples Press.
• Receiving and sorting new issues of the newspaper from the distribution facility at the Bonita Springs Office.
• Reporting any significant events that occurred during the delivery route, such as accidents or fires or incidents.
• Flexible hours for Friday and Monday based on individual retailers’ business needs
• Other Distribution tasks as assigned within hours Friday and Monday or as designated due to Holiday hours.

Skills

• Valid Florida Driver’s License
• Fluent English communication skills necessary – Able to follow written instructions, routing, bundle management and tracking numbers of papers distributed and returned. Clear communication is vital when following a delivery route and collection program.
• Time Management – Delivery on time based on individual retailer. Turn in Collections as outlined by management.
• Attention to Detail – Ability to distribute number of papers per location as indicated each week
• Physically able to climb stairs and lift heavy bundles of newspapers - 20 lbs. - 50 lbs. or use appropriate delivery equipment.
