We specialize in new, remanufactured and repaired AC and DC motors and generators for the oil & gas, dredging, paper, petrochemical, mining, utilities and transportation industries. All our engineering is performed at our facility making sure that your exact specifications are met. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sandblaster to join our team. As a Sandblaster, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting, coating, or repair by using abrasive materials such as sand, glass beads, or walnut shells. This person is responsible for painting motors and all parts adequately without wasting paint and maintaining a safe and clear working environment. This position is for first and second shift.
- Operate sandblasting equipment to remove paint, rust, dirt, or other debris from surfaces
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning and masking areas that are not to be blasted
- Inspect surfaces to ensure they are properly prepared for coating or repair
- Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment
- Maintain and clean sandblasting equipment
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively

Skills

- Mix paint, clean paint safely, and maintain the area where painting takes place
- Proficient in using power tools and equipment related to sandblasting
- Knowledge of basic math for measuring and calculating material quantities
- Experience in remodeling, fixture installation, drywall, concrete finishing, stucco, or other related fields is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

-Removing old paint from the floors and walls

-Replacing the filters on the floor, front, and back walls.
