Gulf Crane Services is Hiring a HSE Representative Near Covington, LA

Gulf Crane Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Representative to join our team. The HSE Representative will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as implementing best practices to maintain a safe and sustainable work environment within the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks in the workplace, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop corrective actions and preventive measures.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on health, safety, and environmental practices, including proper handling of equipment, emergency procedures, and waste management.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and contributing factors, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health, safety, and environmental activities, including incident reports, training records, and compliance documentation.
  • Stay informed about changes in health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards, and ensure that the company remains in compliance with all applicable requirements.
  • Participate in emergency response and crisis management activities as needed, including coordinating with emergency services and regulatory agencies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship throughout the organization.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to health, safety, and environmental performance, and prepare reports for management review.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance safety practices, reduce environmental impact, and increase efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement effective controls.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to lead and facilitate training sessions, conduct investigations, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with safety management software preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
