Decon Foreman
GC Dry Docking & Rig Repair is currently seeking a Decon Foreman. This project will be located in Port Arthur, TX.
Duration & Hours: Project will be for 21 days working 6/10’s.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
This position is responsible for the following: Other duties may be assigned.

• Opens Permits to Work.
• Supervises technicians in a safe and effective manner. 
• Supervises the cleaning of tanks and enclosed vessels. 
• Supervises the cleaning of drains and related tanks. 
• Coordinates the removal of product residues and other liquids from tank bottoms. 
• Performs daily inspection of technical equipment. 
• Ensures that all relevant documentation is completed correctly. 
• Ensures that the work team has been withdrawn and the work site is left in a safe and clean condition on completion of the work. 
• Ensures tank cleaning crews follow required procedures. 
• Performs other duties and services to ensure successful projects are delivered and clients are satisfied. 
• Maintains excellent attendance and punctuality. 

Required Education & Experience: 

• High School Diploma or GED; or certification from college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and/or two to five years experience in tank cleaning environment. 
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience preferred. 

Working Conditions: 

• Field work in Shop, Shipyard, Offshore or on Field Location as required. 
• Capable of working at heights. 
• Regular exposure to all weather conditions, especially hot, humid and / or rainy weather, combined with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.

Special Skills: 

• Ability to work under deadlines and schedule pressures. 
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and drawings. 
• Be able to read and understand all safety precautions and environmental.
• requirements. 
• Be able to pass a fit test for respirator equipment.
