Job Description:

We are looking for a Service Advisor to join our front office team. We are a highly rated, busy, independent family-owned automotive repair service. Our top priority is exceeding our customers' needs and expectations.

You will be the first person to speak to and welcome our customers, so excellent customer relations skills are imperative.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and answer phones in a friendly and professional manner.
• Listen to customers needs and evaluate customer repair or maintenance requirements.
• Advise customer of repair needs and estimates, ensuring that customer fully understands all work to be performed and associated costs.
• Keep customer apprised on progress and or changes of their service and advise the customer of any future maintenance or repairs that may be necessary.
• Create repair orders and hold responsibility for that order throughout repairs and close of order.
• Review and inspect vehicles upon Customer arrival to evaluate service needs.
• Serve as liaison between customers and Service Technicians.
• Schedule appointments after determining automotive repair needs.
• Order and process received parts for work orders.
• Manage part returns.

Skills:

• Friendly and positive disposition with a strong ability to engage with Customers providing them with an excellent and positive experience.
• Ability to estimate mechanical repair costs and time needed for repairs.
• Ability to handle high volume phone interaction with customers and vendors.
• Ability to manage cash, check and credit card transactions.
• Operate office equipment (computers, printers, scanners).
• Proficiency in operating / learning computer software.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in recording information.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Experience Requirements:

• Positive attitude and desire to work with the public, offering excellent customer service.
• Willingness to learn and grow with our Company.
• Professional phone skills, including the ability to speak clearly and communicate effectively.
• Data entry computer skills (we will train you on our specific software).
• Professional appearance and interaction with the public.
• Automotive parts or service experience is preferred, but not required. Will train the right person with the right attitude.
• Clean Florida Driver's License.
• Must speak, read, write English (speaking other languages is a plus, but not required).
• Dependable and punctual attendance.

Job Type:

• Full time, 7:30am-4:30pm Monday through Friday.
• 40 hour work week, with one hour lunch break.
• Opportunity for growth and advancement.
• Alternating Saturday work available. Overtime pay guaranteed for all hours worked over 40 per week.

Pay:

• $ 20-25 per hour, dependent on experience.

Ability to Commute / Relocate:

• Bradenton, FL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record required.

Work Environment:

We are a full service auto repair shop. While the job is mainly in the front office, employees will at times be exposed to excessive mechanical noise / vibrations and occasional fume odors. While not harmful, employees need to be able to tolerate this work environment at any given time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
