Guild is hiring a Systems Architect to join our Business Technology Systems team! This is a critical role focused on partnering with HR, Accounting, Finance and other groups to understand evolving business requirements, lead improvement opportunities, and design system solutions improving operational experience and capabilities.

The Systems Architect is a multidisciplinary role that designs, architects, develops, and maintains integrations/application solutions in support of our HRIS, HCM, and Financial Application ecosystems.

As Systems Architect, you bring:

System Design and Architecture:

  • Collaborate with team members to understand business requirements and translate them into robust system architecture for HRIS, HCM, and Finance Applications.
  • Design scalable and efficient solutions to meet the organization's current and future operational needs.

HRIS / HCM / Financial Application Expertise:

  • Serve as the domain expert on HRIS, HCM, and Financial systems, including configuration, integration, and customization capabilities.
  • Guide Workday and NetSuite technical system activities – integrations, business process design/configuration, security fundamentals, calculated fields, integrations, etc.
  • Advise on data governance, documentation and maintenance of report-based interfaces that support HR, Finance, and various business processes.
  • Collaborate with other HR, Finance, and Accounting technical partners to ensure requirements are met and lead the technical development and support activities related to configuring system integrations.
  • Consult and partner with Organizational SME's, IT and/or Governance Boards to confirm requirements, identify gaps and risks, suggest alternatives, and guide best practices.

Data Privacy & ITGC Compliance:

  • Ensure HR and finance systems follow ITGC frameworks and policies.
  • Implement and maintain security and privacy measures to safeguard critical HR information.

Integration and Data Management:

  • Supervise the integration of HRIS, HCM, and Finance applications with other enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow and accuracy.
  • Develop and implement data management strategies to maintain data integrity and consistency.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Proactively identify areas for system improvement and optimization, staying ahead of industry guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to implement enhancements that drive efficiency and user satisfaction.

You are a strong fit for this role if you have:

Required Competencies

  • Demonstrated experience as a Solutions Architect, Technical Architect or Lead Architect leading the discovery, design, and construction of HRIS and/or ERP systems.
  • Proven experience as a Systems Architect leading HRIS and HCM data and system strategy, particularly with Workday.
  • Experience working with Finance, HRIS, Billing Systems, and other related applications.
  • Ability to architect and design end to end solutions by taking into account the user needs and the technology landscape.
  • Ability to have confident techno-functional conversations with multi-functional teams across departments, advising and addressing concerns about finance and accounting concepts and technical architecture.
  • Strong concepts of performance optimizations and best practices for HCM / HRIS / financial systems and architecture.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills required to interact with colleagues and internal customers.
  • Ability to learn new technologies as they become prevalent and widely implemented.
  • Provide expert level support and technical mentoring to implementation teams.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of the capabilities and constraints from Workday, NetSuite and other Business System Applications.

Preferred Competencies

  • Experience with data management, data transformation, ETL/APIs, preferably using cloud-based tools/infrastructure.
  • Experience with NetSuite developing custom features and solutions including experience using Suitescript, Suiteflows, and code reviews.
  • Deep knowledge of internal controls best practices and SOX Compliance.
  • Specialty certification in relevant Business & Finance related applications/technologies (Workday, NetSuite).
  • A customer-centric approach to work, and the ability to support in the development of digital platform strategies.
  • Expert understanding of cloud-based technologies and object-oriented data models.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and other relevant HR data regulations.
  • Experience working in an enterprise technology environment: HRIS enterprise infrastructure with touchpoints such as ServiceNow, AD, Exchange, Firewalls, SSO, and Mobile configurations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a distributed work environment

We feel passionately about equal pay for equal work, and transparency in compensation is one vehicle to achieve that. Total compensation for this role is market driven, including a base salary range of $140,000-$170,000 as well as company stock options.
