ACT THERAPIST 

FLSA Status: Full-Time, Salary, Exempt 
FTE: 1.0
Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000/annually

*Higher rate of compensation available with MN Mental Health Professional License (LPCC, LICSW or LMFT)*

*Clinical supervision towards License for Clinical trainee*

*** $3,000 hiring bonus - $1,000.00 after first 30 days of successful employment, $1000.00 after 90 days of employment and $1000.00 after six months of employment *** 

The ACT Therapist works closely with the clinical supervisor to provide clinical guidance and direction to the team. They conduct diagnostic assessments and other necessary evaluations and also lead the intake and referral process.

Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Services aim to help individuals live fulfilling and self-directed lives by providing necessary support whenever and wherever needed, in collaboration with the care team. Guild's ACT teams work alongside individuals to help them achieve their goals, manage their physical and mental health, and develop essential life skills.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team and utilize clinical expertise to enhance therapeutic practices.
  • Provide individual and group therapy to clients.
  • Assist team with completing annual Diagnostic Assessments for clients served.
  • Assess and intervene in crises to ensure clients’ safety at home and in the community.
  • Facilitate communication among all parties involved to coordinate and define service direction, ensuring client goals are met.
  • Access available community and housing resources to match client needs and desires.
  • Provide flexible, individualized support so clients can lead self-directed lives.
  • Maintain individual records of all services provided to ensure that the information is easily accessible, the results of the services can be determined, and the record-keeping standards are met.
  • Ensure consistent communication and support for the team to maintain client service continuity.
  • Plan services to meet clients’ needs and enhance goals.

Qualifications

The Mental Health Professional qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences.
  • Current clinical license as a mental health professional in Minnesota with no restrictions (LICSW, LPCC, LMFT, LP).

The Clinical Trainee qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences.
  • Working toward clinical licensure as defined by the appropriate licensing board (LICSW, LPCC, LMFT, or LP)

Additional Requirements

  • Must be available to provide on-call crisis support 24/7 in weekly intervals in a rotation.
  • Must be available to work occasional evenings (until 8 pm) and weekends in a rotating schedule.
  • Must be ambulatory and able to negotiate stairways.
  • A valid Class ‘D’ Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, satisfactory driving record and necessary insurance.
  • Must not be actively receiving services from Guild and cannot have received services within the last two years.
