JOB DESCRIPTION: WAREHOUSE HELPER

SUMMARY: The Warehouse Helper isresponsible for receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations. They work closely with warehouse management and other warehouse staff to maintain a safe and efficient environment. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: (other duties may be assigned)

• Assist with product receiving - unload trucks and move material to appropriate locations within the warehouse and yard
• Assist with deliveries - load delivery trucks 
• Use of a forklift is required 
• Conduct all activities in a safe manner, adhering to company safety standards

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED, minimum, is required.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The individual must have good working knowledge of building materials, experience operating a forklift, tape measure, and basic mathematical skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Bilingual in Spanish and English is not a requirement, but is preferred. 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: OSHA 10 hour is preferred. Current, valid driver’s license is required. Forklift experience required.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS: Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, or other activities necessary to perform job duties. Must be able to move large, bulky and/or heavy merchandise up to 100 pounds; ability to work in variable daily weather conditions.
