Seeking a Registered Associate Therapist or intern (ACSW, LCSW, AMFT or LMFT), or certified counselor (CCAPP CADC or higher) to facilitate mental health groups. The Group Facilitator plans and implements weekly program groups that shall include group activities, indoor or outdoor activities, exercise, and other creative and expressive therapies. This position requires that you pass a Live Scan. We offer supervision for both group and one-on-one hours. Major Task, Duties, and Responsibilities

Conducts group educational/recreational activity sessions.

Maintain appropriate documentation including progress notes on type of activity and client participation, to be documented in charts within 24 hours of service provided.

Ability to demonstrate respect for cultural and lifestyle diversity of clients.

Develops and updates activity schedules as needed.

Maintains safe recreation or therapy supplies and is responsible for the safety and security of these supplies.

Communicate with manager and/or supervisor regarding time off, inability to provide scheduled group(s), and/or conflicts in the schedule in a timely manner so that groups can be covered appropriately.

Possibility of one-on-one counseling in-person or via telehealth as the program expands

Competencies and Performance Expectations

Identify and manage or report a crisis to designated management

Facilitate group educational/recreational activity sessions for clients in Mental Health treatment.

Assess and report client behavioral changes

Identify personal boundaries and be able to work as part of the treatment team

Adhere to professional standards and documentation

General skills on computers, typing and EMR programs

Recognize personal biases working within diverse populations

Prerequisite Qualifications

Following are the qualifications required to perform the essential functions of this position.

Qualifications may be subject to modification based on the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Registration/Certification in a related educational or therapeutic field is required. A minimum of 6 months of experience working with persons with mental illness and/or substance abuse disorders is preferred.

Must have a valid California driver’s license and obtain a personal/professional liability insurance policy.

Vision, hearing, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination must be adequate for the performance of job duties. Able to sit at a desk, use a keyboard, write, and perform other job duties. Able to move about the facility to observe clients and staff.

Specific qualifications may vary based on assignment. The supervisor will initial those items on the following list that apply and write N/A to indicate qualifications which are not applicable:

· Must be at least 18 years of age

· Must pass Medical assessment physical with C-3 form, TB test and Drug test upon hire.

· Associate Interns must be registered currently with the Board of Behavioral Science.

· Must hold an active license, registration, and/or MH/SUD counseling certification to practice clinical discipline, CCAPP CADC I, SUDCC, CATC, or higher certification/licensure.

· Understanding of State and Federal Patient Confidentiality Laws and HIPAA

· Understanding of corporate ethics and integrity

· Class “C” Driver’s License and reliable transportation

· CPR/First Aid certification - obtain upon employment and maintain current thereafter

· TB Test - obtain upon employment and maintain thereafter

· Develop computer skills adequate to perform word processing duties within seven days of employment

Hours Vary weekly: Monday-Sunday 9-12 PM and 1-4 PM Holidays (10-15 hours per week)

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
