GuidePoint Security is Hiring a Remote SOAR Engineer - Mid-Atlantic region (Remote in NC, VA, WV, MD, DC, DE, NJ, or PA

Role and responsibilities:
- Palo Alto xSOAR and/or Splunk Phantom architecture, implementation, and troubleshooting
- Proficiency developing log ingestion and aggregation strategies.
- Expertise developing SOC and security-focused content and automation.
- Familiarity with key security events on common IT platforms
- General networking and security troubleshooting (firewalls, routing, NAT, etc.)
- Scripting and development skills (BASH, Perl, Python or Java) with strong knowledge of regular expressions
- Ability to autonomously prioritize and successfully deliver across a portfolio of projects.
- Up to 20% travel may be required in our Mid-Atlantic region.Security Engineers work from remote/virtual when notvisiting client locations.
Required experience / certifications:
- 3-5 years of security engineering experience in the Information Security industry OR as a technical lead for an internal Information Security program
- Splunk Phantom Certified Admin and/or Palo Alto Networks Certified Security Automation Engineer a plus
- SOC or operations experience
- Experience with other Information Security solutions including DLP, NAC, SASE, NGFW, EDR, XDR, SIEM
- Experience authoring security runbooks, policy, and best practice documentation
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professionalexperience
