Guide Health is Hiring an User Interface Designer Near Houston, TX

We are a startup. No one is on salary at this time. Salaries will kick in 3-6 months. This is an active founding member position. No base salary. Base salary is deferred until post-seed funding, replaced by founding member equity.

Our team has collective experience from EverlyWell, Harvard, Meta, Columbia, Capital Factory, Elevation AI, McKinsey, Neuralink, CVS Health, Techstars, Google Health, and more prestigious institutions.

We are seeking an exceptional UI/UX designer with a proven track record of creating intuitive, engaging, and accessible digital experiences. You will be responsible for architecting and designing the user interfaces and user experience that powers our healthcare delivery platform, leveraging the latest design principles, frameworks, and user research methodologies.

Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end UI/UX design process, from user research and ideation to prototyping, testing, and implementation.

Design intuitive, visually appealing, and responsive user interfaces that provide patients with a seamless and empowering digital experience.

Conduct user research, analyze data, and gather insights to inform design decisions and drive user-centric product development.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, clinical experts, and product managers, to align design strategies with organizational goals and technical requirements.

Establish and maintain a cohesive design system, ensuring consistent and accessible user experiences across all touchpoints.

Stay up-to-date with emerging design trends, tools, and best practices, identifying opportunities to enhance the platform's user experience.

Hire, mentor, and lead a talented team of UI/UX designers, fostering a culture of creativity, user-centricity, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

7 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful digital product design.

Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools like InVision or Framer.

Expertise in user research methodologies, including user interviews, usability testing, and data analysis.

Strong understanding of accessibility standards, responsive design principles, and mobile-first design approaches.

Familiarity with healthcare industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to user experience design.

Proven experience in leading and mentoring design teams, fostering a collaborative and user-centric culture.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale and advocate for user needs.

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
