WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a dedicated Filling Operator Intern to join our team. This role involves performing batch operations in line with our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality controls.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring equipment during each batch operation, ensuring quality and safety are maintained throughout.
This role also involves completing all necessary documentation related to the equipment’s status for each batch and maintaining compliance with all cleaning requirements.
This position is part-time for our summer session located at our Raleigh, NC site, Monday-Wednesday 2pm-10pm.
YOUR ROLE
As a Filling Operator Intern, your responsibilities will include :
Assembling, disassembling, maintaining, and sanitizing the production operating equipment as necessary.
Monitoring production equipment during operation to ensure product quality.
Ensuring that production equipment is safe and operated safely by all personnel.
Completing all necessary documentation regarding equipment performance to meet regulatory and cGMP requirements.
Running Autoclave to sterilize product prior to packaging.
Working safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures.
Assisting the Team Leader in coordinating maintenance activities.
Preventing excess waste of product and components by operating equipment efficiently.
Maintaining production schedules.
Collaborating with teams to initiate and implement programs such as continuous improvement (Lean) and autonomous maintenance (TPM).
YOUR BACKGROUND
Education
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required
2-year Technical degree preferred
Experience
1-2 years experience as a Production Operator or mechanic in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment (preferred).
Skills / Competencies
Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Basic knowledge and use of hand tools
Sound decision-making skills
Good math, reading, writing skills
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Mental and visual acuity for production of quality product
Strong troubleshooting skills
Basic computer skills Microsoft Office package
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Please note that this role requires working in areas where special clean room apparel and safety equipment will be required.
Standing for extended periods of time, a high degree of manual dexterity, and flexible hours with short notice overtime are also part of the job requirements.
